... so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. - Romans 12:5

Our upcoming worship night is going to be one of many-- these are times that have been set apart for us to simply be in the Lord's presence. In the loudness and busyness of life, it is so refreshing to sometimes stop and worship the Lord of all for no reason other than for who He is. This night is for us to be together, as one body, and as a community, in the Spirit and in joy! We will be worshipping the Lord primarily with music and with a live worship band. We hope to see you there, and we look forward to many more events like these. We also pray that your heart is encouraged and that you grow closer to the Lord in our time together.

As Bishop Mariann makes her visit with us, it's another opportunity for a weekend of celebration. Saturday Worship Night (April 27) and a Sunday morning (April 28) of baptisms, confirmations, and receptions. A great big "Yes!" day for New Life in Christ. Reach out to Father Greg if you're interested, or thinking about, baptism or confirmation or being received into the church.

Poplar Hill Music Series

Our guest artists that evening will be the innovative musical duo known as DONG XI (“EAST WEST”) - a musical collaboration between world percussionist TOM TEASLEY and renowned Chinese dulcimer artist CHAO TIAN. Through improvisation, they create a spellbinding musical dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures (think of a modern-day “Silk Road”) in which world music and funk converses with spellbinding virtuosity and Chinese Folk melodies on the yanqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer). DONG XI received the WAMMIE Award for Best World Music Artist/Group in 2020 and were the nominees for Outstanding Sound Design of the 2020 Helen Hayes Award. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear their special artistry transform the sanctuary at St. George’s!
