Katherine Humphries
Katherine Humphries has a love for our littlest children -- she's had more than 15 years of childcare experience, after all! Or perhaps it's because she was born and raised in this parish. Katherine was baptized at St. George's, had her First Communion here, and has enjoyed being connected to this congregation. Katherine is also the co-administrator of our congregation's Facebook page, so check out "St. George's Episcopal Church Valley Lee, MD".
In her other life, Katherine teaches history at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM), and graduated from St. Mary's College with a B.A. in history. She's also the Museum Internship coordinator at CSM, and has a deep love for the rich, living history of southern Maryland and these congregations, in particular.
When not in the classroom or parish nursery, you can find Katherine hanging out with her bulldog, Maddie, and her American dingo, Skippy. She also loves living in Morganza, and spending time with family and friends on the family farm -- which, incidentally, has been in the family since the Russell's came over from Virginia in 1634. And if you can't find Katherine at any of those places, she's surely on Facebook!
